I got to interview Bob Jones of Autograph World, LLC, this past Thursday March 15, 2012 for Autograph Weekly, Zane and I have done several of these interviews now for the show and it continues to be one of the many great highlights of doing Autograph Weekly. I am going to use this blog to talk about the interviews among other things, the interviews have been a huge part of the show and part of my vision for the show from the get go, they are key to getting our name out there and to add credibility to Autograph Weekly. I think all the interviews we have done up to this point have went very well and have been very interesting segments to the show, and our plan going forward is to continue to have as many of these as we can book and make it a mix of people Zane and I enjoy and follow as well as hobby insiders and as I said one way I am gonna use this blog is talk about the interviews we have done and the ones that we will do in the upcoming weeks, months and so on...
I am very pleased we finally got to interview our first hobby insider this past Thursday, in Bob Jones who was on of the co founders of Autograph World, one of the biggest most credible autograph dealers on the internet. The interview itself lasted around 30-40 minutes with prep and the interview itself, was not certain how this was going to go overall, I'd only talked to Bob over email for a week, and Zane had to come up with a new set of questions that differed from the celebs and others we have interviewed up to this point, and I was very pleased when we sat down and Zane went over the questions he came up with as kinda our set questions for hobby insiders, I thought they were very open ended questions with chances for alot of conversation in the answers we would get along with great chances for follow up questions as well, so I was very excited to see how the whole process was going to work out with a hobby insider... I will start by saying I couldnt have been more pleased with how our first interview with someone in the hobby went and I can't thank Bob enough for his time, and his willingness to talk very openly and in depth with us, the insight to his role at Autograph World, the history of the company, how they go about getting the autographs, his thoughts on COA's ( which is dead on), and how he doesn't collect himself and the reasoning behind that were just some of the great interesting parts of this interview, I am not going to go into detail over answers he gave, I want you to sit down and listen to this interview and the others we have done and will continue to do, this is just a little behind the scences and my thoughts on the process of prepping for the interview, the interview itself and some quick thoughts on how I felt it went....
I would love to hear feedback both good and bad on this interview and the others we have done and share thoughts on otheres you would like us to reach out too and try to get on the show..
I want to once again thanks Bob Jones for the time and allowing us to sit down and talk to him, I am truly grateful for your time and very proud of how the interview went....Until Next Time
Stay Classy
